A2G Tournament Results

Addicted 2 Gamez held multiple tournaments over the weekend featuring 3 top games and an old favorite. Featuring a wide array of players, from local warriors, to casual tournament goers, to a world-class fighting game competitor, and even a local child prodigy, all tournaments live up to the hype.

12 year old A.K. wowed the A2G crowd with his astonishing play, not to mention his insane poise for a 12 year old. He beat Dax in Grand Finals after the latter led the round robin phase with a 13-3 record as opposed to A.K.'s 11-5.

In KoF2002, the support for a game more or less 10 years old is amazing, managing to have 14 players. In the end, it was Jonas who outlasted everyone en route to winning the King og Fighters 2002 tournament, beating Reden in Grand Finals.

In AE and Marvel, Complexity's Ryan "Filipino Champ" Ramirez showed why he's one of the top players in the FGC today, claiming both Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition v2012 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournaments, but had to deal with a few struggles along the way.

In the very first round of AE, Zamby seemed to have his number, logging in 3 dominating rounds. But like a mark of a true champion, FChamp kept his composure, and proceeded to slow Zamby's offense down and eventually beating him and moving onto the next round and eventually to Grand Finals in winner's side, where he faced Andrew "Dru" Martinez. Dru managed to reset the bracket, but just fell short, losing to FChamp in the deciding set.

In Marvel, FChamp went through Alex Kim, Matthew "MG" Gaw, Charles "Cha" Leyson and then beat "Papable" Peter Chua to once again go to Grand Finals in winner's where he faced the guy he beat in winner's finals Peter. The finals set was insanely close, with Peter leading most of the way, but like the champ that he is, FChamp found a way to win 2 straight, thus beating Peter for good and claiming the UMvC3 title, going 2 for 2 on the entire tourney.

All four brackets can be seen below. Click on the image to zoom in.

PinoyVersus: Friday Night Fights Results

JackBacoor takes home his 2nd Friday Night Fights tournament in a row, beating Rodel "Megamoves" Murillo. Jack's methodical Dhalsim play proved too much for Megamoves' Sagat, who interestingly enough, didn't switch to his pocket Rufus to counter Dhalsim.

With the victory Jack earned the pot money as well as the PinoyVersus shirt, which PVS promised to include if the number of participants reaches 12. The total number was 13.

The tournament bracket can be seen below:

Team PanCan presents: Sudden Death Results

Amidst all obstacles and unexpected twists and turns, Team PanCan, Team X-Over and iAirDash still provided the people at the Dalisay Basketball Court one heck of a show with Sudden Death. When it was all set and done, there were new prospects that came out of top, and there were also the old reliables that retained their status as one of Philippines' best at their game.

Team X-Over's James "PromilKid" Flores dominated the entire bracket en route to winning the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Tournament, beating Amanda.

Menwhile in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Edmund Austria came from Loser's Bracket to best Ronald in 2 straight sets to win the tournament.

Bernard "Berns" Tan has also put on an incredible show with a dominant win over BeeJay "The Apeshit Guy" Remigio in Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition v2012.

The Macayan brothers now have even more reasons to celebrate. Fresh off their sponsorship with Infinity Place, the remaining Macayan not to win a title was finally able to get the big one. Martin "IFTP.FearMe" Macayan edges out his brother Miguel "IFTP.Migosan" Macayan in Loser's Finals, then proceeded to beat Ryan Yuson in Grand Finals to become the MK9 champion.

Ry "Niteraid" Dael proceeded to win his 2nd straight Persona Tournament in a row, beating Benedict "DiX" Padilla in 2 straight sets. With this win, Niteraid is on a roll and will be one of the heavy favorites in the next tournament.

DiX proved he can be the Jack-of-all-Trades, as he placed 2nd in Persona as well as winning the Guilty Gear Tournament, edging out Rafael "Raf" Pineda.

On behalf of all of us from Team PanCan, Team X-Over and iAirDash, we would like thank all of the participants and visitors for coming.

All six brackets can be seen below. Click on the image to zoom in.
